Happy New Year!  As we close January and are full force into 2009, I hope you have great plans for the coming months.  2008 closed on a somewhat dismal note with the economy on a downward turn.  The Chargers kept our spirits up for a few more weeks.  Always keep in mind, family and friends are our support and keep us strong.  The financial stuff will work itself out.  Have a great 2009!       

Decorate, Decorate…

Thank you to the residents who participated in the decorating contest.  The judging occurred on Monday, December 22^nd at 7 p.m.  We have some very creative neighbors.  I hope you all enjoyed the festive lighting and creations throughout the courtyard.  Now on to the winners and the prizes…

Holiday Brunch

Thank you to all who partook in our community Holiday Brunch.  The brunch was on Saturday, December 13^th, in the pool area.  There were many tasty things to eat and drink.  But best of all, was the company of our neighbors.  Please take a moment to drop by at our next gathering.  Even if only for a moment.  I look forward to seeing you there.   

Continental Saturdays

Continental Saturday will be on February 28^th, at 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.  Please drop in and enjoy a cup of Starbucks coffee or some juice and a pastry.  Come meet and greet our Waring Garden residents and have a relaxed start to your Saturday.

Newly Renovated Laundry Room

Our laundry room has been renovated with a new, fresh look.  If you have not been by the laundry room, stop by and notice the fresh paint, the new floor, the new counter top, the new curtains and the new light fixture.  Thank you for your patience during the renovation. 

Neighbor Courtesy

We have a great community with awesome neighbors.  I’m proud to call you all my neighbors.  On occasion, we play host to friends and family.  Sometimes we have such a good time that we forget to consider our neighbors for possible disruption or noise.  Please keep in mind that our living space is close to our neighbors above us, below us and beside us.  Be considerate and mindful. 

Jacuzzi Update

Our jacuzzi has been undergoing some repairs.  In order to have our jacuzzi in good working order with more powerful jets, the repairs are necessary.  The repairs are occurring now, as you read this newsletter.  We hope to have the jacuzzi back in service, very soon.  Thank you for your patience.

~Chargers Update~

Wow!  What a ride.  Did you ever think the Chargers would take their fans into January, to the playoffs?  I didn’t, after a heartbreaking start of the season.  Well, I was wrong.  It was so much fun, but it had to end.  I’m ready for next season.  Meanwhile, here come the Padres!
